4 inches

KTM50sr = 25.59"

KX65= 29.9"

I would say the KX 65 is too big. My 9 year old nephew still rips on his KTM50sr. He can barely get a leg over the KX.

There’s huge difference between the bikes! I just sold my own Seniors a couple years ago and went to Lowered KX65's. The height is one issue, the clutch is another then you have gears! My older boy made the transition pretty easy but my younger boy 8 now 7 last year on his 1st year on the KX really struggled. Though height is minimal there are a lot of other things they have to learn. Just my 2 cents if you can swing it go KTM for one or 2 years depending on the weight and height of your boy then go 65. I've always bumped them up to soon and the smaller kids that ride smaller bikes longer have had more of the opportunity to master the smaller bikes without having to relearn something bigger and harder to ride.
